Client Responsibilities

Demarcation of Responsibilities

LAN Readiness

The responsibility falls upon the client to ensure that the client LAN adheres to the standards set out in the relevant guide provided by MiCloud. (VoIP Network Best Practice Guide). The client must ensure that the LAN is compliant, as per the point above, prior to the MiCloud installation date and that the client LAN adheres to the set standards for the duration of the subscriber agreement.

The person responsible for the client LAN must be present when the solution deployment takes place.

Router

The data router represents the demarcation device between the EOH network and the client’s network. EOH is not responsible for any network configuration beyond this device.

Clients may not move or modify the EOH hardware in any way without permission from EOH. The client is responsible for ensuring that the equipment is in a safe and stable environment. Any costs related to changes in the environment will be billable to the client.

Network Security

MiCloud cannot over-emphasize the importance of security on a network. Both voice and data networks are susceptible to security threats, which could result in major cost implications for the end client. We want all of our potential clients to be aware of the standard risks involved in running a network, and request them to ensure that their IT support partners adequately secure their environments. We at EOH make every effort to secure our Carrier Network environment.

EOH does not have the ability to monitor or control the security on a customer’s private network. Whilst EOH is responsible for the management and security of all hardware that we provision, the on-site security of a client’s IT network is the responsibility of the client and their local support partners. EOH cannot be held liable for any costs or damages incurred by the client due to security breaches (such as hacking and SIP fraud) of customer owned/managed equipment; or for changes made by any other third party.

Email Policy

MiCloud relies on your email structure to deliver voicemail messaging to users. It is requested that the internal policy allows delivery of these .WAV files.

Porting

The installation model and pricing is based on the client numbers being ported over at 5pm on a weekday, Monday to Thursday. Any numbers that were not specified for porting will remain the customer’s responsibility.

It will be the customer’s responsibility to ensure their accounts with service providers are up to date as numbers on overdue accounts cannot be ported.
